24-bit 96Khz audio on a Dell n5110 laptop?

Been searching all over the internet for an answer for this. Just got some Sennheiser HD 598 headphones and all I want to know is if my Dell n5110 laptop supports 24-bit FLAC files? I set the audio playback to 24-96 but then it will only play music if I disable all audio enhancements, which I assume is the IDT/SRS Premium Sound. Any way around this? Am I able to reap the benefits of these files?

But if I set it back to 16-bit 49KHz, I get more volume.

Hi coldaziceee,

Dell N5110 supports 24-bit FLAC files.  Please refer to this DATA sheet with regard to any doubts on speakers and its functions and support. Click on the link below to view the data sheet

In other words, I'm wondering why I have to disable IDT in order to play at 24-bit 96KHz?

Hi coldaziceee,

I’d advise that you reinstall the audio driver on your system from the given link below to check for the issue resolution. Also to play the 24 bit FLAC files you need not set the playback to 24-96.

Also,I'd like to know the audio player you are using to play the 24 bit FLAC files on your system.

Please let me know if this helps.
